Aberystwyth

This is in fact a hymn tune by the Welsh composer Joseph Parry, and the hymn, 'Jesus, lover of my soul' can be sung to this. It has entered the folk canon however, as have several other tunes which are in fact attributable to named composers.
Play it as a stately air, or it can be played faster and slightly swung.
